THE COMPANY
Software Solutions That Work has been dedicated to providing consulting services and
secure content management solutions to court systems in the State of Indiana since 1996.
Software Solutions That Work founder and CEO Bill Kimmel established the company in 1996
as a Consultancy after identifying the court system’s need to provide for improved Court
System Case Filing. He started by implementing off-the-shelf document imaging systems as a value added
reseller (VAR) for several software providers.
By 2005 it became apparent that the “one-size-fits-all” approach was not appropriate
to the special needs of the court system. The Company was incorporated as Software Solutions
That Work, Inc. and its flagship product was introduced as Courtwerks.
As the economy has deteriorated and County Governments are being forced to do more with
less, Courtwerks has been migrated to a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution.
The SaaS model addresses many of the inhibitors County Governments typically experience when evaluating
technology. Many times solutions which have the potential of positively impacting court operations
can not be implemented because they are not affordable due to the upfront costs and hardware
investments traditionally
associated with such technologies.
Courtwerks affordably handles many of the functions required of Court Personnel
who typically do not have a high level of technological expertise and insures that
all users of the system follow the same procedures; thus eliminating filing errors,
lost documents, and insuring the requirements of State Court Administration are met.
Many elements of the Clerk’s work flow processes including backup, microfilming, etc.
have been automated thereby further improving personnel productivity.
